Ok I've been out of the picture I know but during my break from school I really wanted some quality time with Tanner and Jason and also did some work with our financial company we are starting. So all in all....I've been trying to stay far from my handy laptop!!
So, I'm back in school this week and it's been pretty rough....let me go back two weeks to really let you in on the problem.
We changed daycares for Tanner. He was going to a wonderful lady near the house but we really wanted him interacting with other kids and more in a school environment. So we found a daycare about 3 miles from the house that I really liked (I went to a bunch and couldn't find the one I loved). When I did I was set on it, it was more expensive than what we wanted to pay but we thought we would give it a shot!
Well he cries when we drop him off and then he starts crying when other mom's show up and he has to stay but other than that he seems to be doing well. The teachers said he's their best sleeper, how funny is that. He's one of the youngest in his class and they said he talks more than some of the older ones so that's good to hear!
So....here we are....starting our 2nd week of school and he gets sick AGAIN!! BLAH! But this time I think he has the croup or something. This cold is so different from any other one, he has a fever and it hasn't moved to his chest which is what it usually does right away. So in one way we are thankful b/c we aren't having to use the nebulizer or inhaler but now he has a fever and he doesn't get them very often so we've been concerned. If he's not better in the morning I'm taking him to the doctor tomorrow!
Anyway....so Jason took off work today to stay home with him which was nice for them to have that time together but it just kinda stinks that it's b/c he's sick!
Ok, so now I'm in school and all day worrying about my precious baby at home sick!! :( Makes me soooo sad!
Besides all of this,we had a great break, spent some quality time together that I truly treasure!
So on to other news, I'll be 11 weeks on Saturday!! It's already going fast, I swear it was yesterday I saw those two lines on that little pregnancy test. We go back to the doctor a week from Friday and I hope we get to see the little butterbean!
My friend Michelle is 13 weeks right now, and our boys are almost 3 months apart so it's kinda neat to have a close friend having kids at the same time. It will be neat if we get back to B'ham to have our kids be able to play together!! We are both pretty excited about that! :)
So...no grades yet but I'm not looking forward to them at all....actually I'm really scared. Not only was I sick as a dog from being pregnant I also had a stomach virus for two days during my exams! I got up during one exam so many times that I just finished an hour early b/c I couldn't do it anymore, so fingers crossed that I pulled of a C in that class, which should have been an A class...which really stinks!!
Ok....well it's getting late and I should head to bed to hopefully wake up to a healthier little prince in the morning! :)
Sorry it's been a while but it's so much harder to keep up with this the older Tanner gets and the more involved I get to be with him!!!!
Ok, So I know how this happened, but HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? I must interupt my studying to tell you a little story that happened to me, or us, everyone.
So...the story begins....I was late! Yup late, late, late and not for a date. So as I drove to school last Wednesday, I was thinking, I'll just pick up a little test at the dollar store and take one at school and see what it says.
So I took it at school and the dang thing had TWO lines....so I grab the box to read what the TWO lines mean and it screams PREGNANT! So I called my friend that was at the library and told her to come to the bathroom. She runs thinking I'm stuck in the stall due to a large bug of some sort (not unlikely)!
So she comes flying in and I just point at the test and she just looks at me.....she got so excited and then said "Wait, are we excited"...so of course I start crying b/c I'm scared to death but so excited all at the same time!
So my first thought is......how will I tell Jason. So through studying we formulated a plan, we went to Babies-R-Us and bought a Big Brother t-shirt for Tanner. I'll just put this on him that night and let Jason just see it. Then I thought, I'll have Tanner bring Jason the testS (Oh I went and bought another one thinking the dollar store test was wrong!!!) and then he'll figure it all out.
Side Note: My friend Alex actually went back to the bathroom and dug out the tests out of the trash ....why couldn't I do this, it is my pee however.....I don't know but what a friend!!! :)
So I get home....I say Hi and then run to Tanner's room to change his shirt and grab the camera...which was broken by the way! So Tanner goes to Jason and gives him the tests and they are smaller like dominos I guess, so he just grabbed them and put them in his hand and continued watching tv. So I went in there and said "what did he give you" and he said "I don't know" and then looked down at them and said "does two lines mean not pregnant".....and I laughed and brought Tanner back to him and showed him his shirt.
He just sat there in shock....so I asked how he felt and he said he was SHOCKED and then asked "How did this happen"......
Side Note - Let me just say that this was his idea to try for 3 months and see if it happens again, I guess thinking it wouldn't but wanted to just give it a shot....so technically this WAS HIS idea!
Anyway.....after about 5 minutes he started getting all excited and really happy! So I think we both had that "holy crap" stage of "what are we going to do with another baby".....the projected Due Date is August 8th and I start back school on August 17th so that kinda presents a small problem but I think we can make it work!
All in all...we are excited! I do have to say that I haven't even been to the doctor yet.....I go on Wednesday but I just can't hold back telling everyone!!! :)
Here is the picture of Tanner I took with my cell phone since the camera isn't working!
So, in case some of you have no clue .....it's exam time for me! So, I'm at the library more than I'm home and won't have much time to post videos and pictures. I did post 3 new videos from this weekend, which should be available to the right of this post!
My exam end on the 19th of December....so you may have to come back then for any updates!!
Thanks!!
So I belong to a mommy group here in Oklahoma City. It's through yahoo so it's all through emails and some meetings when we can. I love it, I get to make new friends, talk about my son, my day or anything else that is needed. However....
One of my fellow moms asked about getting rid of the pacifier....(at this point Tanner did NOT have hs any longer). So I proceed to tell her how we got him off of it, gradual but hard and we were so excited when we did it. This was in September I do believe.
Come October Tanner went to the hospital and I felt so bad for him I gave it BACK to him. I know....Jason and I both gave him because he couldn't hardly leave his bed and we just felt so guilty. Well now it's all he thinks about, it's like a freaking drug.
We'll be out somewhere and he will get tired and just say "pacie" "pacie" over and over. So I've had to start remembering to bring the stupid thing along wherever we go and it's so dang annoying.
I have yet to tell my mommy group that we have reverted back and we don't know when we are going to try to take it away AGAIN! I keep making excuses and now it's b/c of my exams. As soon as I'm done with school we are going to get rid of it, which will be Dec 19th! By then I'll say, oh just wait until the new year and then it's gone! Ha Ha Ha!! So I guess I won't be asking my mommy group how to get rid of a pacie anytime soon!!! :)
So....it's that time now for Mommy to let her precious baby have a babysitter that isn't a great friend or family member. It was pretty rough on me dropping Tanner off at the sitters when we moved here. I cried the whole way to school and I probably called the poor girl like 5 times. She didn't mind and seemed to understand!
Now, with Jason having to work a few nights a week and with me having to study for finals, we thought we should find a sitter come to our house. Normally Michelle or Alex will watch him but they are getting ready for finals also, so we had to find someone we could get to come to our house who didn't have to study 12 hours a day for finals!
So I asked my mommy group and nobody really had anyone near me, so then I asked around and still nothing, so I finally posted an ad on Craiglist. I wasn't sure how it would work but I had about 20 people email me and the majority said they could watch him in THEIR home. I specifically asked for someone to come to our house so Tanner wasn't being shuffled around at 9pm.
So I found a couple of girls/women that I really liked and scheduled an "interview" with them. So last friday I one appoitnment at 10am and the second at 7:30pm. Guess what...NEITHER showed up! I was so dang mad! How do people not do what they say they are going to do? One did email me to explain some medical problems for being the reason, which was fine but off my list and I have yet to hear from the other one.
So I had a few other girls I wanted to interview, so I scheduled two more today. My hopes were not high...so the first one showed up and guess what, we loved her! She's married with a 5 year old daughter. She's just looking to make extra money and we live right by her work. So she can come by after work and watch him when we need her!! I was so excited!! So then the second girl showed up and I loved her too. She's a college student who is super sweet! Just loved her! Both gave references, phone numbers, etc. So I have one coming tomorrow night for her first night and the other girl is coming Saturday morning! YEAH!!
I didn't think it would be so difficult to find a sitter....but I'm glad I stuck it out. I'm still going to get some type of nanny cam, I'm not above that! I know people think I might be crazy but I'm headed to the "spy" store tomorrow morning to find something. This is my child we are talking about and unless I know you...I can't trust you with the most important person in the world to me!!
So all those moms out there that have had to deal with babysitting issues...I've now become part of that world!!!
