How many shots can my little man get? Ok so he got some when he was born, then again at like 2 or 3 months, then at 4 and 6 now the flu shot! I'm freaking out! How can this little body hold so much?
I have been going back and forth with the flu shot. So I ended up getting mine yesterday (first) and Tanner's today. I have to be turning into my mother, I am so paranoid about everything. Not to say that Mom is paranoid but I want to protect my little baby from anything and everything. So the flu shot is a catch 22. Do I get the shot and risk him getting sick from the shot or do I not get him the shot and risk him getting the flu!!
So we ended up taking him to get the shot. Since I'm in school and around a bunch of people and Jason at work is around a bunch of people, it was probably safer to try and prevent the flu. So tomorrow morning if he wakes up with no illness I will be thankful in my decision. I do know that he can still get the flu but hopefully this keeps the chances down!
Ok..all you with babies...did you get them the flu shots??? I know my sis is giving her one year old the flu shot and her 10 and 11 year olds. Her husband HAS to get it....so I'm not the only one putting their child through this chance. So tell me please!
Steph...is Drew getting the flu shot....what bout you Leigh...is Edie getting the flu shot! Of course it's too late now to turn back but I still like to hear what other moms did or are going to do!
So I'm turning into my mother...which is fine with me...I do love my mom!!
My nephew turned one on Saturday and I had a new neice arrive Sunday! Our family keeps growing.
So between Jason and I we have 9 neices and nephews!! I just realized all our siblings have 3 kids but us! :) Only time will tell!
We do want more kids, at least one more but the plan is after I graduate or I should say after I pass the bar. We'll start trying again. However, it took us 3 years to get this little bundle of joy, maybe we should start now! :)
Tanner has a cold, poor guy. Doesn't seem to be too much of an issue at this point. Runny nose and a little more tired than usual but so far that's it. Fingers crossed that's all we have. I hate when he's sick b/c I just want the world to stop so I can make him better. This is only the second time he's been sick so I'm guessing that's pretty good. Every since he was born I have been germ crazy. I wash my hands ALL the time, wash everything in HOT HOT HOT water. His bottles get hand washed b/c I don't trust the dishwasher. Yet I'm ok with the dishwasher washing MY dishes! Go figure!
Nothing much to report, the weeks are flying by with school. Those exams will be on me so quick. I'm really getting nervous. I think I have anxiety dreams more and more often. I just have to get through this first set of exams and then I'll know what to expect from here on out. Anticipation is a strong feeling!
The picture posted is one of my favorites! My two favorite people....it doesn't get better than that!
Just wanted to post this YouTube video of Tanner. He is so funny with that pacifier. We love to watch him do this.

If you go, vote, make commets etc. Also there are a bunch of other videos we've downloaded as well!
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother posting on this thing. Do people actually read it? Do people actually care?
Well if nothing else I get to brag about my beautiful family and how lucky we are! :)
So this weekend was the big OU v Texas football game. It was in Texas, so we thought, let's go to the zoo! Seriously, what a great idea. Hardly anyone was there. I didn't think I would see anyone with OU on but we did. I have never been to a state that is more crazy about college football. I know Alabama is crazy but this city...I just can not explain it. People are in OU head to toe ALL THE TIME! So all I have to say on the subject is Roll Tide!
So our zoo trip was a lot of fun. Tanner seemed to like the "kitties" and the gorillas! He watched the gorillas like he was so confused. It was a lot of fun to watch him see new things.
I'm half way through the semester, or a little more so. They are starting to talk about exams and outlines, studying, etc. I'm getting pretty nervous. I'm starting to have anxiety dreams I'm so nervous.
I was told by someone, names are not said to protect the guilty, that I wouldn't make it through law school with a baby. That line rings in my head everyday. It's my motivation to do my best and prove that person wrong. It was a slap in the face yet the motivation I needed. Now I know it wasn't said to motivate, it was said b/c this person is just RUDE! Regardless, I'm going to do my best and if that doesn't get me through then I just wasn't meant to become a lawyer. That is something that will be hard to swallow but I do have a lot of people that love me no matter what and that's all I need in my life! :)
But enough of that crap...I'm going to work hard and I'm going to get through this! :)
Well I do hope some people out there do read these and if any of you have blogs please let me know, I would love to read them! :)
So, I wish I had something to report but all is pretty much the same around here. Work, School and Tanner! Life is good!
Tanner is trying all kinds of new foods which is always a fun time for Daddy! I think that is Jason's favorite thing to do, watch Tanner's reaction to new things.
School is going well, I'm half way through the semester. Which is actually pretty scary. That means I have exams coming up and you only get one chance to pass the class!!! Freaks me out a little but I really feel I'm putting forth the effort and getting a lot in return.
We went to an Alpaca Farm this weekend. It was pretty neat to see those animals up close. We got to touch them and really see what they are like. Tanner loves the cats and dogs so we thought for sure he would get all excited, but he didn't. He did fall asleep on the way there, so we are hoping he was just tired. Mommy and Daddy had a good time!
We also had some friends over to play poker this weekend. We had a good time. I lost and Jason won some, so we came out even. Not a bad way to end. We are going to start planning game night with a food night as well. We'll pick a type of food and everyone will bring something in that range. Plus play games, it should be a lot of fun.
I had a speech yesterday in one of my voluntary classes I'm taking. I talked about Ovarian Cancer. I was happy that I was able to have that opportunity to still discuss this, since it is something I am very passionate about.
Well that's all I have for now! Any suggestions on food would be greatly appreciated.
